Batman Games and Activities:

Post a large sign on your fence (or in front of the house) saying "Welcome to Gotham". Have big yellow question marks drawn on the walkway leading to the house. Black and Yellow Streamers and Balloons can also be used to decorate the outside entry.

Cover the walls of your party room with black fabric or Batman posters. Hang cob webs and plastic bats from the ceiling. Cut posters out of yellow construction paper, and write phrases like POW, BAM, and KABLAM with black marker. Hang those posters on the wall.

Little Caped Crusaders - Batman or Batgirl: When the children arrive for the party give every child a cape and mask. Cut large rectangles (about 45"x35") from black non-fraying, fabric and simply tie two corners together. Enlist another adult or teenager to face paint masks on each child. A simple mask outline will do. Tip: Use Pinking shears to cut the fabric. This will prevent the fabric from unraveling during the party.

Batman Cave: Once the guests have their capes and masks on, have them enter the "Bat Cave." Place a card table in the entry way to your party area and place a banner labeling it as the "Bat Cave". Have the kids crawl under the card table to enter the party.

Pass it On Relay: A game to work on those developing super hero skills. Separate your guests into 2 teams and provide each team with a medium sized ball. To play, each team will form a single-file line. Give the first person in line a ball. When the game begins, the first person will pass the ball over his/her head to the player behind him. That player passes the ball between their legs to the next player. This passing pattern continues - over, under, over, under, until the last player in line receives the ball. Then the play reverses back through the line to first person. The first team to pass the ball from front to back and back again -- wins! Tip: Always play fun music when playing games like this.

Batman Training Course: Being a super hero takes strength and agility. Develop those skills with a fun obstacle course. It's best to have an obstacle course game in a large room or outdoors. Use household items such as chairs, pillows, sleeping bags, hula hoops, old tires or anything you can find to create a challenging course. Show the children how to run the course from beginning to end to avoid chaos. Play exciting music and off they go. Every time they reach the end of the course they get a sticker, candy or small prize.

Balloon Race: Each superhero guest has a blown up latex balloon. The balloon is placed between their knees. They head for a finish line and then must sit on the balloon to make it pop. First balloon to pop is the winner!

Bat Collector: This is a great Batman party game to play outside. Cut bat shapes out of black poster board. Tape several bats on the back of each child. The goal for each player is to collect bats by taking them off the backs of other players. At the end of one minute of play, determine who has the most bats.
